ORIENTAL CLUB EXPRESS FAQS

Here is a summary of everything you need to know about this service.
 
What is the Oriental Club Express?
A premium delivery service that brings a taste of the Oriental Club to your home.  It is designed for a minimum of two people and offers two options - the Oriental Curry & the Oriental Western experience. The dishes are freshly pre-prepared by our Chefs and leave the Club flash-frozen in special temperature controlled boxes to ensure they arrive in perfect conditions and at a safe temperature, below 8°C.  All dishes can be either cooked in the microwave or pan fried. Cooking instructions, use by dates and all ingredients are enclosed in the packaging.

What does the Oriental Western Express offer?
The Oriental Western Express offers a Seasonal Soup with Mini Sourdough Baguettes and choice of three main dishes - Chicken Chasseur & Pilaf Rice, Beef Cheek Bourguignon & Celeriac Potato Mash or Jerusalem Artichoke Risotto. What does the Oriental Curry Express offer?
The Oriental Curry Express offers a choice of  two Curries, Basmati Rice, Dal and Naan Bread. A Selection of Indian Street Food is also available. The Oriental Curry Express selection is completely Gluten Free, apart from the Naan Bread - click here for the full menu and ingredients.

Is it possible to send the Oriental Club Express to friends and family as a gift?
You may send the Oriental Club Express as a gift. Please simply include their name and address when placing the order.

Is it possible to freeze the dishes?
The dishes have been flash frozen prior to dispatch - please do not re-freeze.
 
How long can the dishes be stored in the fridge for?
All items have a shelf life of a minimum of 3 - 4 days when kept in the fridge. Please refer to the use by date clearly stated on the packaging.
 
Where do you deliver to?
Anywhere in the UK Mainland. Please note that for some postcodes the delivery may take up to 72 hours from the time of order: please see reference ma below, Zone A is 48 hours delivery time and Zone B is 72 hours. Please contact clubsales@orientalclub.org.uk for further details and full list of postcodes with corresponding delivery time.

When will I receive my order?
All orders must be placed before 6.30pm for delivery within 48 hours (from the time of the order) - please see the guidance table below for detailed delivery information.

 

How much is the delivery?
For both Oriental Curry & Western Express the delivery cost of £3.50 applies. We recommend ordering for delivery a day in advance for special occasions to ensure you receive your order in good time.

What if I miss the first delivery attempt? Is the food still safe to eat?
If the first delivery attempt is not successful, DHL will deliver the order on the following working day. The package is designed to keep the contents at a same temperature below 8°C for more than 48 hours. If the temperature is above 8°C, please do not consume and contact clubsales@orientalclub.org.uk.
 
​Is it possible to select a specific delivery date?
Orders are delivered within 48 hours of the order being placed - see table above for detailed delivery information. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer specific delivery dates. However, you will receive an email on the morning on your chosen delivery day advising your two hour delivery slot. We recommend ordering for delivery a day in advance for special occasions to ensure you receive your order in good time.
 
Is the packaging recyclable?
The cardboard is made of 95% recycled materials. Our packaging sleeves and plastic pouches are widely recyclable (please check the recycling guidance from your local authority for more information). The cool packs are incredibly durable and may be re-used.
